Permission-on-Demand Model
This extension uses Chrome's optional_host_permissions feature for maximum privacy. Unlike extensions that request access to all websites at install, we only request access to specific sites when you need them.

You approve each government site individually via Chrome's permission dialog.
No AI in Your Browser
This extension does NOT use artificial intelligence. It uses simple, deterministic scripts to fill forms — no machine learning, no AI models, no data sent to AI services. AI is only used on the NeoFormic.com platform (server-side) to help generate filing guidance, never in your browser.
Overview
NeoFormic Form Assistant is the official companion browser extension for NeoFormic.com. It helps users automate form filling on government business registration websites using data they have pre-entered and approved in their NeoFormic dashboard.
Key Privacy Principle: This extension uses a permission-on-demand model. We request access to external websites only when needed, and only with explicit user consent via Chrome's permission dialog.
One-Way Data Flow
Critical privacy design: Data flows in ONE direction only.
- RECEIVES form-filling commands from your authenticated NeoFormic session
- WRITES your pre-approved data into form fields
- NEVER READS page content back to any server
- NEVER SENDS any website data anywhere

Permissions Explained
Core Permissions (Granted at Install)
- scripting: Execute form automation (click/fill/select on approved pages only)
- tabs: Window management (tab IDs and URLs only, not page content)
- storage: Session persistence (stores tab relationships locally, cleared on browser close)
- system.display: Window positioning (screen dimensions for side-by-side layout)
Host Permissions
- host_permissions (neoformic.com): Dashboard communication, always allowed
- optional_host_permissions (https://*/*): External sites, requires explicit user approval for each site
Why optional permissions? Government registration websites vary by state and locality. Rather than requesting blanket access at install, we ask permission on-demand for only the specific site you're filing with. You always see and approve the exact domain.
How to Manage Permissions
You can view and revoke site permissions at any time:
- Go to
chrome://extensions - Click "Details" on NeoFormic Form Assistant
- Under "Site access", see all approved sites
- Click the X next to any site to revoke access
User Control
- Extension only acts when YOU trigger automation from NeoFormic dashboard
- YOU approve each registration site via Chrome's permission dialog
- No background activity when not in use
- Can be disabled or removed at any time
- All permissions can be revoked in browser settings
- Closing browser clears all session data
